M/S Meru Agro-Tours & Consultants Co. Ltd (MATCC) is a local private company based in Arusha that specializes in Agricultural inputs business. The company deals with multiplication and distribution of agro seeds; importation and distribution of agrochemicals and provision of technical advisory services on farm Input use and management In addition, the company conducts agricultural research In collaboration with national, regional and International research Institutes. In Its bid to Implements Its business development strategies the company is looking for self driving candidates to fill the following vacancies.

 

1. Job Title:  Human Resource Administrator.
Report to:  Managing Director.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide support and guidance to managers and staff across the full range of HR work and contribute to the successful delivery of company Human Resource function through supporting and reflecting the organisation’s core values and objectives.
  •       Responsible for the company Human resource planning and new hire process
  •       Responsible for Payroll and Benefits Administration
  •   Responsible for maintaining and updating all documents related to human resource function such as employee benefits, grievances, misconducts, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, termination paperwork and exist interviews.
  •     Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures
  •   Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly

Qualifications/education:

  • Holder of Human resource diploma/degree.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
  •  Expert in time management

Experience: The candidates should have a minimum of at least three-year working experience.

Remuneration: A lucrative package will be offered for the successful candidate commensurate with MATCC scheme of service.

 

 

2. Job Title:  Legal Officer.
Report to: Managing Director  

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Provide and interpret legal information, conduct training and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to staff.
    2. Review current and future policies and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
    3. Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements
    4. Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly.
    5. Review all contracts or any other documentation where the Company has committed itself and assess legal implications that need to be brought to the management’s attention.
    6. Prepare, review and modify contractual instruments to assist and support various business activities..
    7. Coordinate with the all Heads of Departments and all Zonal manager with regard to Legal matters.
    8. To attend the Court and to liaison with management for Sensitive Cases of file with and against the company
  2. Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management especially on contract management.

Qualifications/education:

  1. Holder of law diploma/degree.
    2. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
    3. Expert in time management
    4. Possession of postgraduate in business law and relevant experience will be an added advantage.

Experience: The candidates should have a minimum of at least three-year working experience.

3. Job Title:  Internal Audit Officer (1 Post): Mbeya
Report to:  Managing Director.

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Performing and maintaining control of the full audit cycle which includes financial reliability, compli¬ance with applicable regulations and directives; risk management and informing management of any issues that need addressing
    2. Examine and reconciles documentation with actual reports, statements, records, memos, inventory, assets and accounts to ascertain accuracy and reporting on risk management issues to be ad¬dressed.Prepare and present reports regarding findings, including recommendations and formulating methods for increasing profits and cost saving actions.
    3. Assesses best financial practices for the company and makes relevant, informed suggestions
    4. Provide ad hoc advice to management and employees regarding issues found and how to remediate them.
    5. Providing continued education and advice to different business units and teams regarding compli¬ance and risk assessment.
    6. Conduct follow up audits to see whether the recommendations have been followed.

Qualifications/education:

  1. Holder of Advanced Diploma or Bachelor degree in Accounts or related fields.
    2. MS Office and knowledge of accounting software-QuickBooks
    3. Excellent analysis and presentation skills. Should also have excellent report-writing skills. Must be able to work with little supervision.
    4. Willing to undertake frequent travels.

Experience: The candidates should have a minimum of three years working experience in related field

4. Job Title:  Marketing Manager (1 Post) Arusha.
Report to:  Managing Director

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic and tactic marketing plans for an entire organization in line with company objectives.
    2. Co-coordinating marketing campaigns with sales activities.
    3. Overseeing the company’s marketing budget.
    4. Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans.
    5. Planning and implementing promotional campaigns.
    6. Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity.
    7. Preparing online and print marketing campaigns.
    8. Monitoring, evaluation and reporting on effectiveness of marketing communications.
    9. Creating a wide range of different marketing materials.
    10. Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
    11. Monitoring and analyzing market trends
    12. Exploring ways of improving existing products and services, and increasing profitability
    13. Identifying target markets and developing strategies to communicate with them.

Qualifications/education:

  1. Bachelor degree in marketing , Business administration, and/or a related field
    2. Possession of a valid driving license wills an added advantage.
    3. Good market knowledge on crop growing cycles and season in Tanzania

Experience: The candidates should have a minimum of three years working experience in Agro-Input Industry in Tanzania.

5. Job Title:  Stock and Account Receivable Officer (1 Post): Mbeya.
Report to:  Managing Director.

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Compile and share weekly and monthly stocks status by store.
    2. Manage and audit account receivable transactions.
    3. Preparation of weekly and monthly stock reconciliation report
    4. Manage, audit and prepare seed processing reports.
    5. Audit and prepare accounting system audit trail report
    6. Support on debtor balance confirmations reports preparations
    7. Provide support in stock counting and audit operations as required.
    8. Perform any task assigned by the supervisor.

 

Qualifications/education:

  1. Holder of diploma and or Advanced Diploma in Accounts or related fields.
    2. MS Office and knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software.
    3. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures

 

Experience: The candidates should have a minimum of two year working experience in related field

6. Job Title:  Internship Promotors (5 Posts) – Bariadi, Tabora, Singida, Arusha and Korogwe.
Report to:  Zonal Managers at Arusha, Mbeya, Kahama and Morogoro

Duties and responsibilities

  • Identify niche markets within their districts and design market strategies and mix for the identified market niches.
  •  Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research.
  •   Train and motivate the stockiest sales personnel, plantations, and NGO’s and Farmers groups on the company products/packages.
  •     Responsible and in charge of the stocks and warehouses in his/her regions.
  •        Responsible for establishment of distribution channels in his/her regions.
  •     Advice on how to improve company offering in his/her regions.
  •        Prepare periodic reports outlining the performance of his/her regions.

Qualifications/education:

  • Holder of Diploma and/ or B.Sc. in agriculture, agronomy, horticulture, extensions and agri-business.
  •  Possession of a valid driving license wills be an added advantage.
  • Good market knowledge on crop growing cycles and season in Tanzania

Experience: The candidates should have knowledge and working experience in Agro-Input Industry in Tanzania.

7. Job Title:  Sales Officers (5) Mpanda, Bariadi, Biharamulo,Mbeya, Morogoro..
Report to:  Zonal Managers.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Organizing and conducting sales visits/trips, demonstrating and presenting products to the current and potential customers.
  • Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects and recommending solutions
  • Maintain positive business and customer relationships in the effort to extend customer lifetime value
  • Schedule and follow through on calls and emails with leads and current customers
  • Maintains quality service by following and enforcing organization standards, proper handling of customer complaints and providing the best customer services.
  • Inform leads and customers of current promotions and discounts
  • Record and maintaining accurate records, prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information

Qualifications/education:

  •   Should hold at least form four Certificate.
  • Must have a valid driving license of at least E class with at least three years’ experience in driving light trucks.
  •     Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Sales-driven, results-driven, and target-driven attitude
  •   Aptitude for persuasion and negotiation
  •    Expert in time management
